In this press release we would like to share the information about the upcoming Christy Lee Rogers’ exhibition ‘Reckless Unbound’, which will take place at Edgar Varela Fine Arts in Los Angeles, California on October 20th, at 7 -10 PM, and the show will run up to November 25th, 2012.
Rogers is a self-taught photographer from Kailua, Hawaii. As you remember we took an interview with Christy Lee Rogers last year. This morning she sent us her new fascinating series of underwater photography collection ‘Reckless Unbound’.
Once again Christy Lee Rogers’ work blurs the distinction between contemporary photography and painting, without using post-production techniques. Christy uses her cunning photography skills to a barrage of bodies submerged in Hawaiian waters during tropical nights. Through a delicate process of creative experimentation, she depicts extraordinary scenes of melded colors and entangled human bodies. These shots glorify the human character as one of warmth and vitality.
Christy’s unrestricted talent to enliven the senses, while impressing the audience with vibrant movement and drive, awaking one’s memories of The Massacre of the Innocents by Peter Paul Rubens.
Photos by Rogers have been presented all over Europe and the United States and are held in private collections throughout the globe.
We wish you a pleasant viewing of Christy Lee Rogers photography on AstrumPeople online art-magazine.
